What We Believe

First, Coram Deo ascribes to the Lausanne Covenant and carries a historic, evangelical understanding of the Christian faith:

  • Saved by grace alone

  • Through Christ alone

  • Received by faith alone

  • Guided by Scripture alone

  • For the glory of God alone

We also hold the following view on marriage:

We affirm the historic Christian definition of marriage as a life-long, one-flesh union between two sexually different persons (male and female) whose union is for the purpose of reflecting God’s story of faithfulness and fruitfulness; and that all sexual relationships outside of this covenant are sin.

Finally, Coram Deo holds to freedoms – To Accept without Division

  • Denominational/Network distinctives are fully recognized in our equipping programs. For example, Reformed, Wesleyan, Baptist, charismatic, non-denominational, etc.

  • Various expressions of the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper

  • Men & Women in Ministry – complementarian or egalitarian

  • Spectrum of creationist views

  • We work with the polity of our partners

  • Spectrum of eschatological (end times) views

  • Gifts of the Holy Spirit (Continuationist vs. Cessationist)
